There were twelve applicants for the 2013-14 First Presbyterian $1,000 Scholarships. FPC Associate Pastor Arianne Lehn has completed the famed Boston Marathon. Her time was 3 hours 27 minutes 52 seconds. .Running on her birthday, Arianne’s time raised $3,260 in pledges from church members for “Be a Match,” an organization promoting bone marrow donation, such as that received by her father. Hundreds of bargain hunters turned out Saturday morning for the opening of the 2nd Annual FPC Garage Sale. The free event in McKay Hall continues Saturday, April 13, 9:00am to 4:00pm. Check out pictures in the website Photo Gallery. All proceeds support church charities and ministries.

The WHEATON COLLEGE MEN’S GLEE CLUB, now in its 105th year, continues to provide a unique combination of Christian witness, musical vitality, and esprit de corps. Whether it’s a lively spiritual, a Bach motet, a Russian hymn, or a catchy secular song, there will be something for everyone. The free concert begins at 4:00pm in the Sanctuary. Five youth were confirmed and welcomed into FPC membership at the 11:00am worship service March 10. They are Colin Dorian, Ashby Drummond, Suzi Heller, Sierra Serban, and Sydney Serban. Three additional youth will be confirmed April 14 as part of the Korean Language Ministry.
